squeeze

Monday, March 5, 2012 – Filed under: Uncategorized ::

I’m sparser these days and really feeling squeezed. At once bursting with new ideas, creative bits of ripe fruit jam dotting my mind (often at night – does this happen to you too?) and feeling disorganized, stretched too thin, impatient. In-between seasons are hard for me, and as a family we are working towardsa new rhythm too. The man-cub is signing now (mostly “more” food, Mama) and toppling over into a heap, his legs buckling under him after brave seconds upright. And I know my weather is their weather, my off-centeredness tilts their inner steering wheels.

This too shall pass.

Just as my little one has decided hot pink is now 4th or even 5th on her list of favorite colors I am drawn to it even more. All those years talking up green and yellow, and here I am. :)

This is a new embroidered organic kids messenger bag I’m working on. And, at the top, a new spring acorn set. In those all-the-rage retro pastels. Acorns are cheaper, and less of a commitment than wallpaper. Will be in the shop soon.

I hope you have a wonderful, rejuvenating week.

    Hi Jen,
    I know just what you mean – and how it is true that when we are in a state of chaos, so are our children.

    Ooh, a little kid messenger bag — great minds think alike. I decided just this morning, on a walk with my toddler, that he needs some sort of bag. He gathers fist-fulls of rocks and a little bag for him will be handy… must whip one up quick… though sadly, his bag will lack the hot-pinkness and embroidered flowers ;-)

    Can’t wait to see the messenger bag and the acorns are adorable. Love the eclairs too delicous to look at.
