A quiet rainbow

It is true what they say – the quieter we are, the more we can listen. And hear ourselves. So in the midst of gorgeous summer days (a bit too much out and about sometimes) I’ve been trying extra hard to be extra quiet. Not an easy task. But an important one. New learning for Mama.

The other day I mapped out a new giant wool mobile – 24 large balls hung in a sort of 2-foot wide formation on a piece of driftwood from the Ottawa River.

A slightly smaller, quieter version of the 28-ball rainbow mobile I made for a new baby friend, and put in our shop, a few months back. Each ball is about 2″ wide and 2″ high, and strung on invisible filament for an airy look.

I have new ones in mind – one in all autumn leaf tones, and a starry night one with special & beautiful wool I am delighted to have found.

Hoping the start to your week is a quiet (or not-so-quiet) rainbow too.
