Slow Flowers
She’s amassed this little collection of tiny vases. With doilies for some of them to sit on. Some are ceramic ones I carefully wrapped in socks and pajamas in my backpack and brought home from trips through Italy.
It took almost an hour (or more, as my current time-keeping method is truly a freckle past a hair) for her to divvy up her August bouquet. Trimming, de-leafing, deciding, and filling the little tiny vases. A very grounding, calm time with plenty of moments to appreciate the beauty of each bloom.
Now that’s Slow Flowers. And I’m a big fan.
Hope you have a Slow Weekend (as slow as possible!) I have a few more natural dyeing posts, on elderberry and mint.
