A 3 hour quilt

Thursday, October 4, 2012 – Filed under: Uncategorized ::

We decided it the day before and had nap time and a little snippets of other time carved out from the day. But she designed and helped to sew her first quilt, and those (rather rushed, I have to say) quilting moments were delightful. And they produced a little doll quilt for a Waldorf doll our friend is giving her 3 year old birthday boy. Handwork is so rewarding – at any age, but perhaps even more at a young age. I tried to brain-memory-photo-capture her face as she handed him his birthday package, but I fear lack of sleep the last few nights has faded the edges. Happily, I know the sewing bug is alive in well in her, and we’ll have plenty of chances to make and wrap little packages.

Hope you have a wonderful end to your week!
